I suppose I should write about my birthday on last Tuesday, as promised to a few people...
But I have to work in a few hours and there's a math test on Monday that I need to study for and I have to take a shower. >_> So I shall return later. v_v
@_@ I have realized that the universe would collapse if Algebra and I actually sincerely understood eachother and got along.
Ah, well. On to other matters and actually make sense. v_V
So yes. The 17th anniversary of my birth. Happened on Tuesday, February 21st, 2012. Which also happens to be my [great] Aunt Julie's birthday! ^_^ But I don't think she's like me to disclose her age. ;) So I won't. But Mom and I called her and wished her a happy one anyway. I actually did school on President's Day so I could take my birthday off... I would have just taken them both off, but I would miss school on Friday too, since I was going to Sanpoint Idaho with Elizabeth for her own birthday. (She's precisely 362 days older than me, so we're the same age for 3 days every year.) Then a certain special Hawaiian *coughElysecough* called and serenaded me, and that was awesome. x)
Then we went to Empire Foods to pick up my cake. I usually make my own lemon cake for my birthday, but we didn't get time this year. =/ Unbeknownst to me until then, the cake Mom requested specially said "Happy 17th birthday Rachel", and had a guitar on it! ^_^ Pretty special. But! *dun dun dun....* The lady that was supposed to make it the day before, didn't.... and so.... no cake. <.< But! Empire has this shelf with day-old bakery items, and on this day they just so happened to have a cake, that just to happened to say Happy Birthday! =D And Jerri (one of the bakers) felt so bad about the whole thing that she made us take it for free! And I honestly think it was one of the best store-bought cakes I've had in my life. It was good. v_v
So! On to the party. We held it in Troy (a smaller town about 20 minutes away), in the small theater there. Josh and Tina, a couple that helps at my youth group, own it and the cafe next door, and let us use the place for free and we got Real Steel from the Redbox and Tina played it up on the big screen for us! And gave us free popcorn and soda, and made pizza, which we did pay for, but it was delicious. v_v
OH! And the Saturday before, I answered the phone and on the other line was this deep-voiced guy, who I learned happened to be my old friend Morgan! I did not recognize him. <_< He and his brother Alex used to live a few miles up the road from me when we were younger, and we hung out quite a bit. But then they moved away without saying goodbye when their parents divorced like 2 or 3 years ago, and I'd only seen them once since then. =/ But they're in town visiting their grandparents for a few weeks, so they got to come too! ^_^ Turns out Morgan's voice wasn't the only thing that changed. <_< He's quite a bit taller than me now..... But Alex has stayed about the same. xD But, it was really good to see them again. I miss when we used to build treehouses and play Lord of the Rings together... Good times. x)
Aaaaand William and Robert were there, and Mitch got to come too, and Annie and Landon, and the Frances, and the Pucketts, and... yeah. v_v quite a few more. So it was a very good time, and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves! ^_^ I really wish Darian could have been there, though. =P I haven't seen her since October, I think... *needs to call her*
<_< Okay, that's it cause I have much much more I have to do. -.- But I shall return! >=D And tell more about the epic adventures of Rachel's party and other events of her week, and...... post pictures. v_v
