Funny how the states are different.... I remember Elyse once telling me that it was about 60 degrees in Hawaii, and she was like, "<_< Brr...." While at my house today, I was going, "=O It's 60 out! I'm totally going for a run! >=)"
xD
It was a good run, too. The road was about 97% bare so I didn't have to worry about slipping on the ice, and the warm air was a nice change. Spring weather makes me so excited! x) My winter this year hasn't exactly been action-packed. Not the kind of action I'd like, anyway. =P What would have been another ski trip today got cancelled, and there was my sickliness on the last.... and the one before that I skipped for Snowblast (the winter retreat). I wouldn't have missed that for the world, though. x)
Now where was I? Oh yeah, spring weather. It's so exciting!! >=D I'll get to ride my bike to town soon, and I can wear less-warm and bulky clothing, and there's that way the earth smells when the sun is setting, and it's quiet, and it gives you this nostalgic feeling that it's been a good day. ^_^ I love that. And it just reminds me that I'll get to do the things again that I haven't done in 3 months, and school will be done soon, and there's a whole two seasons coming up that I can just pack with plans with my friends. x)
Just finishing the first week of the second phase of this challenge. Going pretty good so far, but I didn't meet my step goal many days, because the first part of my day is always spent sitting down. e_e Oh well. In this phase the harder part is getting in 5 servings of fruit and/or veggies a day. <_< I'll have to look up some ways to get those settings into my meals... But as for cardio, I already have 160 minutes in, and I only need 150 per week. >=) I'd tried to get into a habit of doing at least 20 minutes of cardio in the mornings before this challenge started, anyway. So yeah, today I did intervals of running and walking, and if I did my math right I did a mile of full-out running in 10 minutes. Which I'm not sure adds up right, cause I thought I was in better shape now than I was when I did the 7-minute mile in 8th grade.... Maybe it's just cause I had more energy then. xD But I know I certainly didn't have the endurance I have now. It's weird and cool looking back at what I used to be able/not able to do. Like today I brought up an armload of wood that, after I thought about it, I'm pretty sure I would have had trouble carrying 6 months ago. So changes have been pretty gradual, but it feels great being able to do more stuff with less effort. ^_^ Who knows, maybe I'll be able to beat Liz at arm wrestling by now. >_>
Hayley took me to the Montana Athletic Center when she came to town a few days ago. I'd been in there before but never actually worked out.... unless you count the gymnastics class I took when i was 8. <_< >_> *cough* But we won't talk about that.... Anyway, it was fun. ^_^ And it's only $6 for a whole day! o.o You can leave and come back later. The front desk lady thought we were both about 14. xD We get that alot.... So I think I'll go back once a week, or every-other week, depending on my financial situation.... I'm trying to save up for a number of things. But it would work out good because I can ride my bike there and get some extra exercise. xD Plus it won't get dark till 7:30 PM after Saturday, so I can start riding my bike to and from work again too. ^_^ I'm excited!!!!! x) Look out bicycle, I'm coming back! How I've missed you... x)
Speaking of work, my new boss is pretty cool. His name is Rick. He's brought a few changes to the way we do things, but they all seem for the good so far. ^_^ He had me working every Tuesday night which I don't particularly like to do because I don't get to do worship practice, so I emailed him about it and he changed the schedule around so I work every other Tuesday, starting next week! o.o Yup, he's pretty cool. ;D Dad told me "Make sure you bend over backwards for him, then. V_V" I agree. ^_^
Aaaaaand........ my heart skipped a beat when I finally saw a very special letter sitting in the mailbox today! x) I shall reply speedily. V_v Unlike someone...
;D
And Dad and I went for a 1.5 hour drive this afternoon up some places up the road I never knew existed, so that was fun. ^_^ I might take Jamie up there this summer.
Well, I must attend to thee dishes now. v_v Mom is getting onto me. *concludes*

Winter can get old pretty fast. xD It's wonderful when the warm weather creeps back in. x)
Ever heard of the grazing trays as a good way to get the 5+ servings of fruits and vegetables a day? They're really easy and fun to make. :D
o.o $6 per day? The gym my mom goes too (which is less than half a mile away) is $10 per month.... but I guess they can afford to offer a good deal in a highly populated area with more customers.
YAY!!! x)) Hmm... >.> I wonder who that /someone/ could possibly be...
xD I look forward to it! ^_^
x)
Grazing trays.... Is that a tray with fruits and veggies that you set out to graze on? ;D That's a great idea. I've been drinking the V8 Fusion stuff, which gives you 2 servings, i believe...
$10 a MONTH? O_O It's $40 a month here, but that's about average.... Hayley says it's about $10 for a day, over in Missoula...
Yes, I'll work on it some more when I get back home this afternoon. ;D
Yeah! ^_^ It's cool putting them in cupcake trays... =P How does V8 Fusion taste? That's juiced vegetables, right?
x_x Expennnnnsive!
=DD
Oooh, I'll have to try that. ^_^
Nah, the fusion is fruit, with some veggies in it that you can't taste.... To trick your mind! >=D
I know!! @_@ But apparently they have special deals for students. I have to look into that.
lol! xD
Good, good. ^_^
