I'm blogging....
I'm blogging....
K!
So!
I got back from Kids Camp Friday! ^_^
And the hard copy of my license came in that day too so now I'm all official! >=D
[insert picture of license here]
It's hard to explain everything about Kids Camp here in 10 minutes... Guess I'll have to pull an Indigo Montoya. v_v
Let's see:
I was on full-time recreation staff, and also helped in the kitchen for breakfast and lunch every day.
I shared a room with my pastor's daughter, and it was just the two of us. We each had our own bed and shared a bathroom, with is extremely good compared to non-staff camp conditions...
The Holy Spirit did some awesome stuff with the kids. ^_^
I did have some ups and downs... Like hanging out with some of the other junior staff and realizing how many people are really big hypocrites. And it was heartbreaking and disappointing, because people aren't as good as I make them out to be. =/
But then it made me realize how much more awesome my close friends are because they're the same to everyone, and I realize how right my parents were when they say my friends are outstanding. xD
So now I have a new respect for my friends, and less respect for those other people. =P
There were some hot topics I had to go over in my mind... Like the gay guy who was trying to lead one of the campers to Christ.... And how even the pastor's kids get really inappropriate when left to themselves and me... And how I never stand up for what I know is right, never speak up when I want and need to.
So the last night I went to bed early, and leaned out of the window of my third-story room and talked with God.
He told me that I'm worth all the trouble that I give Him. ;D
Which is good, otherwise I'd have been done for long ago....
So anyway, I had looootttss to think about over this weekend. But one thing this week did was put me more in tune with the Holy Spirit and with God's voice. I've been able to listen to it a lot more now, and it's pretty cool. It just takes opening your eyes to see all God does for you every day.
And it's really cool, because just before I went to camp I started reading this book about the Holy Spirit, and the speaker lady at camp put a strong emphasis on the Holy Spirit, and then yesterday at a bbq my friend started talking about the Holy Spirit too. So it was pretty cool. xD Nice to know He's at work around me.
Oh! And I played with Sparrowsworth again yesterday. ^_^
Well not really with them, but they had a bbq/hangout/thing and asked me to come a play some music. So I went (and drove me and my guitar there all by myself, thank you), and had a good time just jamming and talking with good friends. 'Twas a good time. =)
So anyway, I'm still exhausted from Kids Camp. I went to bed at 8:30 Friday night and slept a full 12 hours. xD But apparently it still wasn't enough, because I feel a cold coming on... <_< We pray against it in Jesus' name. V_V And also fight it with the remedy of sleep.
So I guess I'm not really ready for Teen Camp tomorrow, but I'm super super super excited for it. x) Faith is just alive and God is just so vivid there, and it was there last year that He took me much much deeper into this adventure. Every year, that week is a huge encounter. I'm looking forward to Him blowing my mind, even if my body is worn out. xD
I shall blog again when I return! Pray for safe travels, big encounters, and all that. ^_^ Laters!

Glad you're learning at camp. ^_^ Learning is hard, but it can be pretty awesome, too.
Sorry there are teens doing the wrong thing. :\ It's hard to see. Remember, God will lead you in these situations. :}
