The Daily Bumble

Oh, it's funny how time flies... One minute you're posting a song for a friend, keeping up with school, finishing book series you left untouched for years, journaling, and desperately trying not to sound bad at worship practice, then poof! A month has flown by!

To say the least, the past three weeks of my life have been especially.... interesting. Some of you know what went down, the things that got stirred up, but it's a bit much to get into. And not really my story to tell, anyway. But to say the least, the dust is settling and I'm learning from it. Thanks to those of you guys who were praying. =)

So then, what else is new?

Well, it's Spirit Week at my online school, which makes my mornings a little more fun. ;D

I finally got an excuse to wear my welding goggles...
Rachel Elliott
And my TaeKwon Do uniform and one of my swords for 'Ninja Day'. ;D

I'm also reading a pirate novel currently, which has got me inspired to use that profession for my Halloween costume this year. ;D I did dress up as (Captain) Jack Sparrow once, when my hair was long... didn't look bad, if I do say, mustache and all. But eh, maybe I'll just stick with the evil genius. The look is starting to grow on me. >8)
There's just something about a swashbuckler, something exciting and enticing. It's that call to mischief and adventure on the high seas! Nevermind the fact that all of your shipmates are dishonorable, unsightly, carnivorous thieves, grab a pistol and a cutlass, put on your leather boots, and let's go track down some treasure!
Luckily for us impressionable readers, the captain of the William Wallace holds to some higher-than-typical-piracy standards. ;) Plus he and his daughter are Scottish. And we all know that Scottish people just make everything more fun! Visa vi,  Deryn Sharp. (Leviathan... another great book to read, for steampunk and adventure fans. )

We had a pumpkin carving party at the library yesterday! I was upstairs running the front desk so didn't actually get to participate, but there were lots of kids running back up to use the bathroom and wash the pumpkin guts off their hands. xD We had a great turnout, though! Maybe it was because of the eye-catching sign we put on the corner. A certain semi-artistic seventeen-year-old drew it.... (Now who could that be?)
Roar!!

And in quick conclusion, this is my new favorite love song. v_v

Ciao for now!

RACHEL....HI!!!!!!!!!!!

Gosh, it's been WAAAAYYYY too long. It's such a pain only having four hours of internet a week. (Plus, I forgot to bring your address. Can you text it to me so I can send you a letter? >_>)

Anyway...THIS BLOG POST MADE ME VERY VERY HAPPY. Especially all the pictures, and your references to the books, both/all of which I've read and really enjoyed. xD

Anyway...so glad to hear you're alive and doing well! Hopefully I'll get to write/talk to you soon ^_^ I've missed you!
