Regular people

It's interesting to think about the people who wrote the Bible.... they weren't thinking "I'm going to write something that will be bound into a book, translated into thousands of languages, and distributed to people around the world. V_V" They were just regular people. Paul's letters to his friends from prison.... he wasn't being eloquent or showing off with his "spiritualness", he was just a regular guy, and that's how he talked. And it's cool to read the Psalms, to think that David was just a regular guy too. I think writing poems was his way of therapy, getting out his feelings. I realized that when we read the Psalms is basically reading his journal. The journal of another human being who lived thousands of years in the past, who had the same struggles and pain as we do now. The Bible wasn't written by a bunch of super Christian people; it was written but a bunch of regular people like us, from all walks of life, who got the chance to be used by God. It's not us - it's Him. It's all Him. ^_^
